First day of school January 23rd

Jupiter seemed happy to be back at Brubaker today.

He has a visual schedule and also a nice matching activity using the words that he has in his vocabulary. I predict a day with a high rate of success for him!

I'm excited to see that school, what we do at home, and SCL are complementing each other.

Deleting buttons oh my!

Jupiter deleted a bunch of buttons on his talker. we discovered that he deleted them when he was in his first SCL session with Susan and he acted like he wanted to say something and was very frustrated that he could not find the button to express himself on his talker.

I had forgotten that the talker is set to backup automatically every day and so I was scrambling to find ways to replace the buttons as quickly as possible.

Luckily nothing was lost and all is restored to normal and the upside of the experience was that I came up with better organizational ideas for button placement.

Camp weekend

Jupiter went to camp this weekend.
He was very excited to go on Friday night.
On Saturday afternoon he stayed in bed most of the day and chose not to go swimming or play on the playground. The staff thought he was getting sick.

Jaymon picked him up from camp on Saturday evening and when he got home he was full of energy and acted like he was feeling fine.

On Sunday he had his first day of SCL with Susan and they are going to the historical building.

Balloons from the dollar store

Today we went to the dollar store and bought balloons. I picked the bright yellow.

When we came home we did some more work.

My new speaker for my iPod

Now I am easier to hear.
My iPod connects to the speaker using Bluetooth.
